Ms. Kathleen and Ms. Renessa's Welcome

Welcome to Happy Faces. I'm Kathleen Williams and I founded Happy Faces in January 2005. I believe that when you love what you are doing, you do it very well. Nothing brings me more joy than working alongside the amazing Happy Faces' staff and tending to the children in our care. This is what I love doing.

I have two adult children and have been married for over 20 years. I have lived and raised my children in the Cranberry Township area, and I could not imagine being a part of a better community.

My background in education is extensive. I have a Bachelor's degree in Special Education and my Master's degree in Elementary and Early Childhood education with a concentration in Reading. My career started as a teacher in the public school system, moved to teaching preschool, and transitioned into director of a facility. Then 19 years ago I found my true calling when I started Happy Faces. The children are what brings happiness to me and what puts a smile on my face every day!

Hello! My name is Renessa Madeja and I'm the Director at Happy Faces. I have been with Happy Faces since we opened our doors in 2005 and have worked alongside Kathleen for 20 years. I love children and it is such a joy to be able to watch them grow.
I'm a proud lifelong resident of Cranberry Township. I've been happily married for 22 years with two beautiful daughters. My oldest daughter is a nurse at Children's Hospital and my youngest is in elementary school.
My Bachelor's degree is in Early Childhood Education and I've been in the field for 20+ years. I started working with one and two-year-olds when I started at Happy Faces, before deciding to take on and develop the Pre-k program. I stepped into the Director role a few years ago and, while I no longer teach, the fulfillment that comes from witnessing children reach milestones and learn continues to be extremely rewarding.
